2020 Grammy rock and metal nominees announced
The 62nd Grammy Awards are right around the corner, airing January 26 on CBS, and the nominations for rock and metal are here.
In contention for best rock performance are Bones UK with Pretty Waste, Gary Clark Jr with This Land, Brittany Howard with History Repeats, Karen O & Danger Mouse with Woman, and Rival Sons with Too Bad.
The Grammy nominees for best metal performance are Candlemass featuring Tony Iommi for Astrolus – The Great Octopus, Death Angel for Humanicide, I Prevail for Bow Down, Killswitch Engage for Unleashed, and Tool for 7empest.
Nominees for best rock song include Tool’s Fear Inoculum, The 1975’s Give Yourself A Try, Vampire Weekend’s Harmony Hall, Brittany Howards’ History Repeats, and Gary Clark Jr’s This Land.
Finally, the best rock album nominees include Bring Me The Horizon with ‘amo’, Cage The Elephant with ‘Social Cues’, The Cranberries with ‘In The End’, I Prevail with ‘Trauma’ and Rival Sons with ‘Feral Roots’.
