Balance Breach step into the light of the metalcore world today with the release of their debut album “Dead End Diaries” and a new lyric video for the song ‘Aurora’.
‘Aurora’ presents the more fragile and etheric side of Balance Breach.
The lyrics share a story about the situation when the universe decides to collide you with a person who can bring the light in the middle of the darkness you thought would never end.
“When we were writing Aurora, we had only few chords and an old clean melody,” drummer Antti Halonen says.
“We knew that we have all the ingredients to write a perfect ballad, but months later I decided that the song has to be done somehow and I wrote it with my keyboard and laptop so that song got its frames.
“It supposed to be a perfect three and a half minute hit ballad but as always emotions take control and lead it to the way it should be.
“Aurora has an ethereal atmosphere which fits perfectly with the lyrics.
“Those two elements carry listener through clouds, storm and towards the most beautiful sunrise.”
According to the label Out Of Line Music, quiet passages with clear guitars and energetic choruses that immediately stay in the listener’s head alternate at breakneck speed and create a unique and diverse atmosphere in the debut, Dead End Diaries, that runs through the complete, almost 40-minute long masterpiece.
“Especially the striking combination of spherical and brutal, clean and guttural are reminiscent of other Scandinavian genre talents like Aviana or Awake The Dreamer.
“Nevertheless, Balance Breach create a very own style through their music which especially in the current situation makes you want to dive into exuberant moshpits even more.
“The highly individual songs are always spiced up with technical solos and sophisticated breakdowns which make “Dead End Diaries” as well as Balance Breach as such already appear overly experienced and highly developed.
“If you think of monotonously dark black metal when you think of Scandinavia, you will be taught a different lesson by Balance Breach.
“With their debut album “Dead End Diaries”, the five newcomers from Finland totally let off steam in metalcore and merrily combine the most diverse influences to an outstanding result.
“Even back in 2019 when the boys won the band contest of the “Tuska Open Air” in Helsinki, one could only guess what a huge debut would roll onto the scene about a year later.”
