Sydney’s brutal groove merchants Black Rheno are back at it again with their first headlining tour since releasing their debut album ‘Noise Smasher’.
Throughout May the boys will be hitting the east coast with their hell raising live shows, visiting major cities and a few rural towns along the way.
Black Rheno released their debut album ‘Noise Smasher’ last October, which saw them follow up with a huge tour covering Japan, Australia and New Zealand alongside New Orleans sludge royalty EyeHateGod.
Back home, their debut LP, which blends elements of sludge, metal, grindcore, stoner and groove, has received plenty of attention across the board.
They received plenty of play on triple J’s The Racket, were a featured artist on Rage’s Wild One and came in at number 27 on the Rage top 50 music clips for 2019 with Human.
Black Rheno’s track record is growing bigger, having played shows in the US alongside the likes of Iron Reagan, Darkest Hour and Ringworm.
They’ve also made their way across this wide brown land of ours time and time again with heavy hitters such as Napalm Death, Brujeria, Red Fang, Psycroptic, King Parrot, Revocation, Lock Up and Phil Anselmo & The Illegals.
Wielding only drums, a guitar and a vocalist, Black Rheno have forged a name as being one of the biggest sounding three piece bands you’ll find.
