Corey Taylor announces debut solo album ‘CMFT’, shares first two songs

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has announced his debut solo album, CMFT, will be out October 2 and has shared the first two songs.

The first single and music video, “CMFT Must Be Stopped”, features Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie on the track and a host of cameo appearances, including Rob Halford, Marilyn Manson, Caleb Shomo, Ronnie Radke, Babymetal, Randy Blythe, Lars Ulrich, Lzzy Hale, Scott Ian and Nergal.

The clip was directed by DJay Brawner and features The Cherry Bombs dancers.

The other single, “Black Eyes Blue”, comes with a lyric video.

CMFT has been a long time coming for Taylor, with newly written tracks alongside some dating back to his teens.

Recorded at Hideout Studio in Las Vegas, with producer Jay Ruston and his band – Christian Martucci (guitar), Zach Throne (guitar), Jason Christopher (bass), and Dustin Robert (drums) – the album traces a roadmap through Taylor’s musical psyche.

CMFT is out October 2 via Roadrunner Records
