Corrosion of Conformity drummer Reed Mullin dead at 53

Corrosion of Conformity drummer Reed Mullin, 53, has died.

The band announced the news on social media today, paying tribute to Mullin.

“It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a friend, a brother and pioneer.

“Reed you are loved and always will be.

“Lets all take a moment…”

The band have a tour booked for Australia and New Zealand in February.

Corrosion of Conformity (short C.O.C.), one of the first punk metal fusion bands, was founded in North Carolina by guitarist Woody Weatherman in the early 1980s. 

C.O.C.’s debut was the 1983 thrashy ‘Eye For An Eye’, which brought the lineup Weatherman, drummer Reed Mullin, vocalist Eric Eycke and bassist Mike Dean to the screen for the first time.
