“It fucking sucks”: Abbath on sobriety in new video

Abbath, real name Olve Eikemo, has released a video after almost two months of rehab reassuring fans the European tour will go ahead.

“Been almost two months sober now, and as you can see, it fucking sucks,” he said.

In a statement on November 25, Abbath said he was battling addiction and wanted to get clean.

“It’s no secret that I’ve been battling addiction.

“I have now come to realize that it’s time to pick a fight with this demon.

“I’ve committed myself to a rehab program that’s going to help me get clean once and for all.

“I feel more motivated and determined than ever to win this battle.”

Abbath will kick off their tour on January 23 in Weimar, Germany.

Alongside label mates 1349 and Vltimas, and support act Nuclear, the package will hit the stages in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Denmark and Sweden.
