Public broadcaster restores footage of 1987 C.A.D. show featuring Maynard

US public broadcaster Grand Rapids TV has restored footage of a 1987 C.A.D. (Children of the Anachronistic Dynasty) performance – one of the first bands to feature Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan.

The show was part of the Peace Day live broadcast marathon in 1987.

In the second half of the show, C.A.D. play a song Burn About Out, which sounds like an early version of Tool’s hit Sober.

Thirty-two years on, Maynard has released album ‘Fear Inoculum’ with Tool and booked a massive Australian tour.
