Red Hot Chili Peppers are working on 12th album
Red Hot Chili Peppers have confirmed they are currently working on their 12th album.
Drummer Chad Smith revealed the news in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Smith was being interviewed about his art exhibition and said he was under strict instructions to not discuss band matters.
“I was given strict orders for this interview: ‘DON’T TALK ABOUT THE BAND,’” he said.
“But, yes, John is back in the band, and everyone knows that.
“We’re psyched.
“The festivals are the only shows booked.
“For now, we’ll mostly be concentrating on new songs and writing a new record.
“We’re all real excited to make new music.”
Interviewer Andy Greene then asked: “To clarify, that’s strict confirmation that the band is in the middle of creating a new record?”
“Yes. That’s all I can say,” Smith said.
