Synthwave duo reimagine Death’s classic album ‘Symbolic’

Italian synthwave duo Nitelight have reimagined Death’s classic 1995 album, Symbolic.

Mario Bulasinski and Stefano Cerulo released their take on the death metal record, Nitelight plays: Death’s Symbolic, on September 12.

The pair say they used to play Death covers in their metal band before moving into electronic music and this was their tribute to Chuck Schuldiner and his bandmates.

“We played these songs for many years with our death metal band,” they say.

“Death was the soundtrack of our childhood. Now we have moved to a completely different genre but our roots remain the same. Death’s music and art will forever stay in our hearts.”
