triple j axes The Racket and short.fast.loud Facebook pages

triple j is merging its specialist programs’ Facebook pages into the one main page at the end of the month “to reach more people”.

The station’s absorption strategy includes metal offshoot The Racket and hardcore arm short.fast.loud.

The Racket host Lochlan Watt posted the news on the program’s Facebook page today.

“triple j is making some changes to how it handles Facebook, and merging most of our pages into the one,” he wrote.

“This is to streamline everything and hopefully be able to make all our different kinds of content reach more people.

“So I’m just letting you know that like most things, this page will soon be gone, and if you weren’t already following the main triple j page you soon will be instead.

“You can keep up to the date with the show’s weekly content over on instagram and Twitter by following @triplejracket.”

Hosts of the numerous other programs delivered a similar message on social media.

Fans of the specialist pages will be automatically moved to the triple j page on September 1.
