Video: Tool pay tribute to Neil Peart with Rush cover

Tool have paid tribute to late Rush drummer Neil Peart by playing a partial cover of A Passage To Bangkok at their first show of 2020.

Tool drummer Danny Carey performed part of the Rush classic midway through the setlist at Viejas Arena, San Diego, California on January 10.

Peart died on Tuesday at 67 after losing a three-and-a-half year battle with brain cancer.

The concertgoer who filmed the song could have risked ejection from the venue, as all other videos from the evening are of final song Stinkfist and Tool are known for a strict camera policy.

The band played 14 songs, with most of the material drawn from albums ‘Fear Inoculum’, ‘Ænema’ and ‘Lateralus’.
